Boat Dock 3 Gone

Now you don't

About the Author

Eric Smith has spent a lifetime on the water — and in the thick of everything that floats, leaks, or mysteriously vanishes.

Over the course of his career, he founded three yacht businesses, sold more than 1,000 boats, and competed as a successful sailboat racer. He also worked as a technical writer, consultant,  entrepreneur, and ringmaster of the occasional dockside circus. He’s appeared and lectured at 54 Annapolis Boat Shows — which might be a record, or at least a really good streak.

Now semi-retired (or at least distracted), Eric has turned his attention to storytelling — starting with this mostly true memoir about a luxury yacht that simply... disappeared. Along the way, there are run-ins with the FBI, Coast Guard, Navy, and maybe even a few pirates. Names may have been changed, but the chaos is all real

Chris's synopsis of the evolution of the Yacht Business...

Some careers define an industry. Eric Smith’s is one of them...

Eric Smith founded Bay Yacht Agency, the predecessor to what became ACY Yachts. In doing so, he laid the foundation for everything ACY has become today. For those of us who learned this business from Eric, and there are many, we understand that we’re standing on the shoulders of a true pioneer.

The Annapolis Story...

Eric’s Annapolis story begins in the 1970s in a way that feels almost mythical now: MORE

See listing for latest

Well, like my story--all good things come to an end.

We're shifting over to Suzy's Ground Floor condo in recognition of our current needs.

The Condo I used for the last 8 years is now up for sale.   Very comprehensive info below.

3 BR, 3 Bath with separate office area. Tons of storage (Unusual for condo living).

Available now fully furnished, Turn-Key, or bare--move in ready immediately. Ideal for residence, second home, or as an investment property.

This is as close to living on a boat as you can get, but without the motion and loaded with storage and amentities.

MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE:

Experience one of Annapolis' most extraordinary Chesapeake Bay waterfront homes. This is true waterfront living—not a distant glimpse of a creek or narrow shoreline, but an ever-changing front-row seat overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, the mouth of the Severn River, the Bay Bridge, and the shipping channel

Be sure to see the self-guided, 3D tour, in the condo listing, or CLICK HERE. OR FAQ CLICK
